9CT GOLD SILVER FILLED

We manufacture the highest quality 9ct gold silver filled jewellery on the market.

Over 20 years ago, we looked for a way to make hollow jewellery more durable, without the price of solid gold. And so this is when our unique silver filled manufacturing process was born...

Manufactured in Melbourne

We designed machinery to give us the best manufacturing processes available, making us the leaders in producing silver filled jewellery; and for a very long time, the only ones in Australia (or maybe even the world), to be making it. Over time, manufacturers caught on to the idea and started to mimic our products, but to a different standard to the strict ones we adhere themselves to.

Features:

Thick gold outer tube

• Fused to a solid silver core for extra strength & durability

Same gold thickness as a hollow tubed equivalent

• Up to 300x more gold than other filled jewellery on the market

Unrivalled 9ct gold silver filled

We use a superior ~0.3mm gold layer, fused to a solid silver core for strength and durability. When you compare this thickness to other imported 'filled' jewellery, where the products contain a 0.015mm gold layer, combined with a hollow base metal for a total thickness of 0.3mm, you can easily be mislead by the difference in quality.

FAQ

What makes our silver filled jewellery different?

The production process starts with a thick gold hollow tube. This is inserted with a solid sterling silver core and gold and silver are fused together in an oven. This is then drawn down to size, bent into shape and finished to the size or length required. This craftsmanship creates quality jewellery, elevated with a seamless, high polish finish, especially made for you.

We use the same gold thickness tube as the hollow equivalent item. The standard gold thickness used in the starting tube process is equivalent to 300-350 microns. Whereas other products on the market, have a final gold layer of only 1-3 microns thick (less than 1/100th in comparison), which is usually on top of a hollow base metal. Compared to a solid sterling silver core on our products.

Misleading terms like 1/10th or 1/20th gold over silver is used a lot for imported products, whereas in weight comparison their actual quantity of gold overall is quite minimal. As well as the thickest gold layer, our silver filled chains also feature ends and clasps in solid gold, and not silver filled, making your piece easily repairable.

How thick is the layer of gold on your silver filled?

Our silver filled gold jewellery has a 0.30 – 0.35mm layer of gold, which is the thickest on the market. It is stamped with a “filled” stamp so you can reassure your customer it is 9ct gold silver filled, not plated posing as filled.

Have you ever changed the way you make your silver filled?

Over the 20 years we have been manufacturing silver filled gold jewellery, we have found ways to improve our methods for even longer lasting jewellery, without compromising the quality or thickness of the gold layer.

Our 9ct gold silver filled jewellery has never been plated, and is the highest quality filled item on the market.

Does your gold wear off your silver filled?

The thick layer of gold outer and our heat and pressure bonding manufacturing process means our silver filled 9ct gold jewellery is extremely durable and long-wearing. Just like all jewellery, exposure to daily showers, chemicals - like those in moisturisers, perfume, chlorine, and cleaning products, or excessive wear and tear, can wear gold faster than if it is well cared for, but our silver filled will still outlast most of these things. To offer peace of mind to you and your consumer we offer a 10 year warranty on all silver filled bangles, and a 5 year warranty on all silver filled chains.
